The world of work has changed dramatically — but many of the habits, assumptions and practices we use as managers were designed for a different reality.
Management Reset is an interactive workshop that gives managers the opportunity to step out of the day-to-day, examine the way they lead today, challenge some of their automatic management habits, and intentionally redesign the way they want to lead going forward.
Rather than offering one “right” model of management, the workshop combines fresh leadership principles, real management dilemmas, peer learning and practical tools. Participants work with their own teams, challenges and situations throughout the session — turning ideas into concrete changes they can apply immediately.
Depending on the organization and the length of the workshop, we will explore principles such as:
From Control to Clarity
Moving away from managing every detail and creating clear direction, priorities, expectations and boundaries instead.
From Tasks to Ownership
Creating the conditions for people to take responsibility, make decisions and move work forward without constant managerial involvement.
From Answers to Questions
Shifting from being the person who always provides the solution to developing people’s thinking, confidence and problem-solving capabilities.
From One-Size-Fits-All to Adaptive Leadership
Understanding that different people and different situations require different levels of direction, support, autonomy and involvement.
From Busy to Impact
Helping ourselves and our teams distinguish between activity and value — and focus time and energy on what truly matters.
From Managing Change to Building Adaptability
Moving beyond individual change initiatives and developing teams that are better equipped to work in an environment of continuous change.
From Manager as Bottleneck to Manager as Enabler
Identifying where our own management habits may unintentionally slow the team down — and redesigning the way decisions, communication and responsibility flow.
The workshop is highly interactive and combines short content segments with individual reflection, small-group work, discussion and application to real management situations.
We start with a Management Reset Check-in: What does my management look like today? What takes most of my managerial attention? Where am I creating value — and where might I be getting in the way?
We then explore selected principles of management in the new world of work. For each principle, participants examine a real situation from their own management experience and experiment with a different way of approaching it.
Throughout the workshop, participants build their own Management Reset Map — identifying the management habits they want to keep, stop, change or introduce.
We end by translating the insights into a personal action plan: What will I do differently as a manager starting tomorrow?
The exact toolkit is adapted to the group and workshop length, and may include:
Participants leave the workshop with:
Most importantly, participants leave with a question that continues beyond the workshop:
What does my team need from me now — and what do I need to change in the way I lead?
The workshop can be adapted to different organizational needs and management levels.
